File your ITR · AY 2026-27

Four forms. One set of documents.

ITR-1 through ITR-4, all running on the same computation engine — so a capital gain is worked out identically whether it lands on ITR-2 or ITR-3, and you never have to know which form you need before you start.

01

Attach what you already have

Form 16 from each employer, your broker's tradebook, anything else. We read them — you do not retype them.

02

We build the whole return

Every sale matched to the lot it came from. Both regimes computed independently. The right form decided from what your documents actually contain.

03

Review every line, then file

Each figure traces back to the section it comes from. Nothing is hidden behind a total, and nothing is submitted until you say so.

Capital gains

Every sale matched to the shares it came from.

Sell 150 shares bought across four years and the tax depends entirely on which ones left. We match oldest-first on ISIN, split long from short, and apply the 31 January 2018 price under s.55(2)(ac) where the law allows it.

INFY04 Aug 202450 @ ₹1,610Short₹5,000

The right form

We stop you filing the wrong one.

ITR-1 cannot carry short-term capital gains. ITR-4 cannot carry a second house. Get it wrong and the department declares your return defective months later, under s.139(9). We read what you actually attached, name the problem, and switch you across without losing anything.

These documents need ITR-2, not ITR-1

ITR-1 cannot carry short-term capital gains. Filing on the wrong form gets a return declared defective under s.139(9).

Switch to ITR-2

Your Form 16 is enough to start.

Attach one document and see the whole return, both regimes, in about a minute.
