Regions
Where you file, not where you live.
These are not the same thing, and for a tax platform the difference matters. Plenty of people resident in California or Dubai file in India; plenty in Mumbai owe a return somewhere else. So we ask which country you file in, guess once to save you a click, and let you change it whenever you like.

There is no personal income tax here, so there is no personal return to file. Residents still file in India or the US on their other income — which is what we would build for this region.

Filing in more than one country?
This is the case we care most about, and the reason the platform is built around regions rather than being an Indian product with other countries bolted on. If you have Indian rental income and a US return, the treaty decides who taxes what first and the other side gives credit for it — and getting that wrong is expensive in both directions.
India is built. The United States is where we are heading next, starting with exactly this cross-border case. If that is you, tell us — it changes what we build first.
