For CA firms
Built for one return, and for four hundred.
A Chartered Accountant is required when the Act says so — a tax audit under s.44AB, a Form 3CB-3CD — and not because a form looks complicated. We encode that distinction instead of selling help to people who do not need it, which means the work that does reach you is work that genuinely needed you.
How we decide
Three tiers, and only one of them is compulsory.
Conflating “you might want help” with “the law requires help” is how tax products lose trust. One frightens people who need nobody; the other lets someone file without an audit they were required to have — which, for an e-Return Intermediary, is a liability that lands on us rather than on them.
The taxpayer files themselves. A Chartered Accountant is never mentioned, because one is never needed. ITR-1, ITR-2 and most ITR-3 returns sit here.
Their choice, or we flagged something worth a second look — a first year of ESOPs, foreign assets, a large one-off gain. Always dismissible, and priced.
Turnover crosses the s.44AB threshold. A CA must sign Form 3CB-3CD before the return can be transmitted. Not dismissible, and the platform will not file without it.
The practice console
What a firm actually needs from software.
A pipeline, not an inbox
Every engagement on a board — collecting, computed, in review, signed, filed — with what falls due first at the front.
Capacity per preparer
Who is at 54 of 60 and who is at 18 of 40, before you hand out the next return rather than after.
Sign-off that means something
Your membership number and a timestamp attach to the return. The trail shows who verified the documents, who reviewed, and who signed.
Escalations arrive explained
Work reaching you says why — required under s.44AB, requested by the client, or flagged by us — with the computation already done.
Come and pull it apart.
Bring a return you have already filed and check ours against it. That is a better use of an hour than any demo we could give you.
